ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Annette Crystal Andrews a knowledgeable and experienced dog grooming instructor with over 23 years of grooming expertise. Growing up with Poodles, Annette initially considered becoming a Vet Assistant to follow her love of dogs. However, fate had different plans for her, and she found her true passion in grooming.
After years of developing her skills and building a strong customer base at the salon she worked for in Kissimmee, Annette’s career took a significant turn when she seized the opportunity to buy the salon from the owner. She has now been the owner of Fusion Pet Stylez for the past 8 years.
Throughout her tenure as a salon owner, Annette has never stopped learning and growing. She has attended various grooming seminars and competitions, where she showcased her talent and secured two well-deserved placements for her Bichon and Fusion styles at the Fun in the Sun event. With an extensive background in the grooming industry, she has honed her expertise and specialized in doodle clips, perfecting her fusion styles for poodles and doodles alike.
Annette’s passion for learning remains undiminished, and she is constantly striving to become an exceptional groomer. Moreover, she is dedicated to sharing her knowledge and expertise to foster a new generation of talented and skilled groomers.

I’ve only been grooming 2, and I just hand picked matts, cut them out or just shaved the dog down. I’m so glad i came upon this because i would love to save a dogs coat rather then shave it short. A little repetitive, but very insightful and didn’t just use one breed. I can’t wait to try these techniques out. Annette is a very good speaker and i enjoyed learning something I wish I knew sooner!

What a great webinar! Annette is a natural in front of the camera and she explains everything so well! I love that she used the hv dryer on one side of Bella and cage dried the other side to showcase the difference!! What a great idea!! I also appreciated that she recorded a bunch of dogs ahead of time and was doing a voiceover so that we could hear her clearly without the noise of a dryer. All of the tools and techniques were explained so well and it was a joy to watch!

I have to say—watching this was a game-changer for me. As a proud owner of two doodles, I’ve had my fair share of struggles with mats. Like many doodle owners, I’ve been in the unfortunate position of having my dogs shaved down due to improper brushing techniques.
When I started grooming (thanks to the love for grooming my doodles sparked in me), I was taught to never bathe a matted dog—just shave them. But this class completely changed my perspective. OMG!! This has finally made everything click for me! I worked at a corporate company and was not taught properly with those dematting tools (thankfully I was too scared to use them cause I didn’t want to cut a dog). I was also taught that you need to pre shave before the bath. I got so tired of shave downs and my blades being dull! Thank you!! This has helped me in so many ways!
