I have a well behaved black SPoo. How do I offer him as a “canvas” for a grooming competition?
For many events there is a corresponding Facebook group where people will usually post to let groomers or the exhibitors know they have a dog available for either competition or booth demos. You can also contact the event itself to see if they require demo dogs for their classes.

Is there a deadline to register for the PetQuest grooming show in Ohio?
There are deadline, but it is more important to worry about when they open the registration as it fills up almost instantly for most shows. You would need to go to the individual event website for more info.

I was interested in getting a female schnauzer for creative grooming shows along with other shows. I am most likely going to spay my puppy, will I still be able to do grooming shows?
Yes, grooming shows do not have any rules on spaying. Doing creative with a Schnauzer will be difficult though.
Is it open for groomers outside u.s and will the organisers give invites
Yes the competitions are open to anyone! Some even have special awards for international competitors. Reach out the the individual event you are interested in for more details.
The the “Fun in sun” Grooming show has the dates in November, but when i click link for info it shows for OCT, which right dates is it?
Sometimes the events will change dates, always go off their website.
We need better communication for the new groomers that want to compete ! It is impossible to enter into a competition because of people filling spots and not going this is extremely unfair and not good for the industry.!!
Yes, certain shows are harder to get into than others and the process could definitely use some improvements from what many groomers are saying. Voice your complaints/ideas for improvement to those shows organizers each year as the more they hear about the issues the more likely they are to actually change things. There are some smaller new shows that are growing that don’t have the same problems as the bigger shows though.
