Bad & Bouvie Pet Bouvier Grooming Course

LENGTH: 2 HRS

Join Lisa Lopez for a step-by-step demo of a pet trim on a Bouvier des Flandres! While Bouviers may not be the most common breed in the salon, the techniques translate to many other breeds you groom every day (with the exception of the headpiece, of course). Lisa focuses on maintaining correct breed profile using clippers, softening the standard into a more manageable pet trim, preserving the signature fall, and sharing practical pet grooming tips and tricks throughout.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Lisa Lopez is a Nationally Certified Master Groomer (NCMG) through the National Dog Groomers Association of America (NDGAA) with more than 30 years of professional grooming experience. She began grooming at just 12 years old alongside her mother and became a full-time groomer in 1996. Grooming has remained both her profession and her passion ever since.

Deeply rooted in the dog show world, Lisa started in 4-H at age eight and entered conformation at sixteen. She brings over 35 years of experience with Bouviers and 25 years with Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, and continues to be actively involved in both grooming and exhibiting. For Lisa, dogs are more than a career — they are a lifelong commitment.

Since entering the competition ring, Lisa has quickly distinguished herself. In her first competition at St. Louis Groomfest 2024, she competed in Open and earned 3rd place in All Other Purebreds. She went on to win 1st in AOPB and Best in Show at Pet Pro Classic 2024, and at the All American Grooming Show 2025 she earned 3rd in AOPB, 1st in Freestyle, and 1st in Group.
